Winter

How sweet is the sound of the wind whistling in your ears when you rush down the sunny slopes... A winter in Alta Badia is a synonym of a perfect ski holiday. 130 km of carefully groomed runs, modern ski lifts and great connections with the other areas of Dolomiti Superski, such as, for example, Val Gardena, Arabba, Cortina d'Ampezzo and Kronplatz. A paradise not only for experts of Alpine skiing and snowboarding, but also for beginners, willing to challenge the mountains with the help of highly qualified instructors. A snowpark and various fun slopes invite to try some acrobatics on the snow, while numerous untouched landscapes attract those with a passion for snowshoeing, freeride and ski mountaineering. Besides, there is no lack of toboggan runs, Nordic skiing trails and ice rinks, to savour all the pleasures of a high-mountain winter.

A summer vacation in Alta Badia is a true sensory experience that combines the purity of the crystal-clear water, the smells of hay and pine in the air, breath taking views and the charm of a fabulous labyrinth of trails that penetrate the woodland, cross the meadows and pastures and climb up the sharp ridges that seem to challenge the sky. It's a real gem to be explored on foot or by mountain bike. Meanwhile, those cyclists who prefer road bikes are tempted by the curvy roads that lead over the legendary passes of the Dolomites, a dance of turns between the blue of the sky and the pale colours of the powerful Pallid Mountains. For the closest and most passionate appointments with the rocks there are exciting fixed rope routes and climbing trails. There is no easier and more enjoyable way to discover the treasures of Alta Badia than through various sporting, cultural and gastronomic events that take place both in summer and in winter. Sporting events include some world-famous races, such as the World Cup of Men's Giant Slalom and Parallel Night Slalom on the Gran Risa slope in La Villa, or the renowned Maratona dles Dolomites with 9000 cyclists who compete on three fascinating itineraries, all starting in La Villa. One of them is also accessible for all passionate cyclists during the Sellaronda Bike Days, when you can enjoy pedalling undisturbed around the Sella massif on the roads closed for traffic. But Alta Badia is not just sports, Alta Badia is also a unique culture and a cuisine full of pure and genuine flavours.
